Hi All
After the recent devastating bushfires in the Adelaide Hills, Blazeaid, the volunteer organization is again mobilizing to help the effected people recover.
They do a fantastic job helping people get back on their feet with infrastructure projects but just as importantly with great moral support.
A local community is organising a charity ride to help raise money towards the cost of fencing materials etc.

Sunday February 8th 10:00 AM for 10:30 start.
Ride starts at the Tea Tree Gully Oval, Spring Cres Banksia Park.
Ends at Mount Pleasant Oval.

Cost is $10.00 per motorcycle.

I,m going up from Naracoorte and hope to see a lot of Adelaide Thunderbirds at the ride. Bring your mates, have a great ride and help raise a bit of cash for a very worthy cause.

Hope to see a lot of you there.
Regards Frank

Hi Frank,
Obviously I won't be able to make the ride, however I would be keen to throw a few dollars in to help.....
Is there a Ride Bank account set up that I can donate to (so the Bikers get the credit)

Or maybe when we do some raffles, etc., at Tanuda, the money could go to that cause???

Just a thought?

Cheers

I will see about giving the Flickers a chance to donate somehow. But not organising a raffle.
We will be riding through the devastated area.

Frank,

What about simply handing around a helmet and people can throw in whatever they want. No raffle hassles and we can still donate to their area. That's what we've done in other places - given back to the area we've visited.

I'm more than happy to carry around my skid-lid to collect some cash!

Cheers

The ride was a great success with about $7,500 raised for the charity.
Credit must go to the fine people of Mt Torrens and surrounding areas for a great effort and a fantastic day.
As suggested by Jimbo, we'll pass the hat around at the Flocking to add our little bit to the cause.
Regards Frank
